About the Artist
Lauren Kasdan is an artist and photographer specializing in work with the equine form.
Born and raised in Kentucky, her love for all things horse-related seemed to be in her blood from an early age. Being the daughter of artists, she recalls her father proudly telling anyone that would listen that Lauren had been drawing “since she could grasp a crayon.” The artistic and equine inclinations married seamlessly, and, as they say, the rest is history.
Kasdan graduated from the prestigious Visual Arts magnet at duPont Manual High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Painting from Bellarmine University.
Since completing her degree, Kasdan has continued creating art and developing her style. She has established supporters and patrons of her work all across the United States. Her work has been awarded and exhibited by multiple entities, including the Appaloosa Horse Club of America and The Lexington Living Arts and Science Center.
